In Brief
Survivors of Oceanic flight 815 were left stranded from all civilisation after a horrific crash into a Pacific island of wonder and Intrigue. Like a modern abstract adaptation of William Golding's Lord of the flies, the survivors are forced to re-establish some form of society and order, all the while uncovering the islands many secrets as well as their own.
Amongst the vast repertoire of mysteries the island holds, including polar bears, underground facilities and an anonymous black fog capable of tearing down trees, the islanders soon learn they are not alone. A group of inhabitants known only as 'the others' identify themselves, kidnapping the children and even planting a mole within the survivors.

A group of inhabitants known only as 'the others' identify themselves, kidnapping the children and even planting a mole within the survivors.
As Jack, the only doctor on the island and appointed leader, attempts to guide the survivors to safety, tension soon rises within the ranks and the islanders divide. Having radioed a freighter stationed nearby rescue appears to be just around the corner. Suspicious of these so-called 'saviours' however, some of the group disband; lead by Locke the mysterious 'man of god.'
Lost delivers mystery and intrigue to an audience unprepared. From the high budget cinematic to the in depth, action packed plotlines and intricate character development Lost truly encapsulates its audience with enough twists and turns to make you physically dizzy.
With the start of a fourth series and plans for up to four more seasons there is still a lot to learn from the island and its inhabitants and if the previous series is anything to go by there'll be a lot more twists and secrets to come. Lost isn't just a program it's a way of life that will take complete and absolute control. It will rip your heart out and leave you begging for more. You have been warned.
From producers J.J. Abrams ("Alias," "Felicity"), Damon Lindelof ("Crossing Jordan") and Bryan Burk ("Alias").
